Hi Ladies, Just a quick post to let you know there are some new items for sale on the Resale forum. I added the shoes I have left today and there is a gorgeous pair of Chie boots listed. I also added the extra circle the globe skirt I have and there is a JC silk cami for next to nothin, snag it! Here’s the link Wardrobe Resale Ta! Just a peek at my Alice necklace… It’s not quite done yet but soon. I’ve been working on it forever, adding and taking away pieces. I wanted the theme clear without it being too childish.
Part two of this week’s Anthropologie reviews I’ve been dying to try on this cardigan but was disappointed as soon as I saw it irl. The color and texture are just not as rich as I was expecting. The fur collar was soft and nice looking but I felt like it was swallowing me. I couldn’t seem to get the collar to drape correctly. I kept checking and it looked like I had it buttoned right. I only saw one button. I would have really liked it too have another button to nip in the waist. The cardi did not fit snug under the bust and through the waist on me like it does on the model. Underneath the fur the sweater has a large fold over collar and I think this was messing with the fur laying correctly. I took the XS, it had the best body fit but the sleeves were very tight and short. The Rushcliffe cardigan and High Tea trouser look that I so loved in the catalog was a total fail on me. The front length on the cardigan is very awkward. Maybe sizing up is the answer but I sense it would just be baggy in the body. Perhaps sizing up and adding a button but I’m not going to waste my time with all that unless it is on super sale.
Continue reading Anthropologie reviews: Rushcliffe cardigan, Aylesbury cords, Ruffle plaid dress I took the size 0 in this Odille top. I often size up to a 2 for Odille but there is a lot of stretch in the blouse because of the rushing. There was a bend in the ruffle collar on the blouse I grabbed, so careful storage may be required or occasional pressing. I really loved the blouse but I wish the waist sat just a little bit lower. It would have been more flattering. As it was, I felt a little thick through the middle. The high waist also prevents it from tucking in smoothly. The only other possible issue I noticed with the Kinship blouse was that the back is pretty sheer. Online lists this blouse as also available in dark purple but the color I saw in store looked like grey not purple. I’ll keep my eye on this one and maybe try a 2 in the future to see if I can gain a little length. A 2 might also prevent that button right at the waist from pulling but I suspect it’s caused by the seam and may need a tiny piece of fashion tape.

The color is a little flatter than I expected, it’s quite short, and the entire upper half of the dress is very roomy. I’d love to hear what you think of it. Keep, return, or return and rebuy on sale? I took quite a few pics so you could see it with various items. I had my camera up pretty high and angled down. Irl I think the dress looks shorter and my legs don’t look as stubby as in the pic. This is the size 0 and it was $198

Target’s knock off of the JBrand houlihans are surprisingly cute. I was worried the material would be uber thin, crisp cotton, and show every bump. But, they don’t! The material is not exactly thick or expensive feeling but it’s soft enough and has some stretch in it. The skinny cargos are 98% cotton 2% spandex. The only thing I don’t love about these pants is the rise. Oh Target why not an inch more, they would be perfect then. They are still wearable but a long shirt or boyfriend cardi will be required if I plan on doing any exposed back sitting lol. I took a size 3. The size 5 was far too big in the waist and I did not really gain any in the rise. The size 1 I could not even get on. So even if these stretch, which I bet they will, I could not have sized down. I purchased the black, which is a true black not faded or distressed, yet anyway lol. I’ll be washing these on cold and hanging to dry as I have no confidence that they will not fade or shrink in the drier. The army green color I was less crazy about. It was just a little too faded and worn in looking for me, plus I think I spotted a few pills of fabric on them. The pants are also available in a pale khaki.
This is what happens when Dh goes to a football game and leaves me to my own devices until 11 o’clock at night.
I ordered J.Crew’s Musette dress. I know, I am a fool. It will be a shapeless mess in the waist but I cannot resist this pic! I have dark grey tights with pinky purple polka dots and black shorty boots to wear with it. Maybe I can make it work with a belt? I love and am obsessed with every single thing on this adorable website
