The Tartine cardigan fits TTS, similar to other Jcrew merino cardis. It has fitted shoulders and arms with a loose waist. For reference I consider the Jackie cardigans to for fitted all over, including the waist. I felt the arms in the Tartine to be too snug in my usual size to easily wear a long sleeve top underneath. This is a cardigan for Spring and early Fall, to be worn with short sleeves or a tank.
The ruffles are lovely and you could see them well around the neck with my hair up. I liked several of the colors, particularly the Maize (bright yellow with no brown undertone) and the Deep Persimmon (deep red orange, not neon). However, the Tartine just did not insist on coming home with me. If your closet is lacking cardigans, this is a good one to add but it is not a must have piece.

I didn’t like the Tartine in solid colors. I liked it in the snow leopard, then tried it on another day and thought it was too busy. I think the snow leopard would look good with a pencil skirt and red lipstick. I don’t see any Tartines in my future, though.
I was in the store today, and I saw this in a really pretty pink color, which I don’t see online. I couldn’t figure out the color name from looking at the 3-letter code on the price tag. It’s sort of a light-medium pink. Very pretty!
Interesting, thanks for sharing! I have to say, even though I put my personal want to pay value only $35-40 on this I would probably cave and pay more if it came out in a color I adored. The Deep Permisson is temting me..
Hi Shannon, great blog! I bought this cardigan in several colors, one of which was maize.
For me, they are good basics that my wardrobe was lacking. I do wish they were a bit thicker and because they are on the thin size, less expensive. Like you, i think an excellent value is $35 to $40, but with inflation $70 and in the right color.
