The Chiffon rosette belt is currently $38.00 on J.Crew.com but several stores have it marked down to $9.99 with an additional 25-40% off. I purchased 5 of these belts (yes 5, don’t laugh I couldn’t decide which color not to get) earlier this week thanks to the tip by a kind poster on the Aficionada blog. Each belt is a combination of grosgrain polyester ribbon and a layered chiffon flower. The ribbon ends are all heat sealed, so they will not fray, but the chiffon rosette edges are unfinished. I will be storing these in tissue paper to prevent additional fraying of the flowers.
The ribbon ties on this belt have been left quite long. I can wrap it around my back, to the front again and still have some ribbon left to tie. If I ever decide to trim the ribbon, It should be easy enough to reseal the ends with a lighter. (Run a lighter along the edge of the ribbon quickly and carefully to just melt the ends. Keep the lighter away from the chiffon rosette though!) The ribbon loop and rosette tend to flop over a bit, especially when worn through belt loops. I will use a bit of double sided fashion tape to keep it up and in place.
The Rosette belt is available in the 4 colors listed online as well as at least 2 in store only combinations. Fuchsia pink with an ivory flower (love this one) and Bright peacock with a Navy flower.

I would have bought 5 too if I lived near a store! I do wish they offered as good a deals online as in the stores…I used to have 3 stores nearby up until a year ago:( Glad you got the colors you wanted:)
I actually called as store 2 states away and had these shipped to me. My store is a 2 hrs+ trip and last time I was there they had these belts for $20. I almost bought a couple then, glad I waited!

I called the store and they only had two of the four colors that I wanted but the CS rep in the store took my info. and called from the red phone and “made JCrew” online give me the sale price on all 4 colors online! Yeah!

Yes, I called online first to see if they would price match the store and they firmly said No no matter how many different ways I tried to ask (nicely) but wondering why the huge price difference…the lady could not give me an answer…so she was going to transfer me and then she hung up? got disconnected from me? So I called the store…and the SA was so nice and said she would call for me! Talk about jumping through hoops and wasting time on the phone….crazy. It makes me not want to shop online b/c the prices just aren’t that good but I don’t have a choice…so I buy very little anymore after years and years of buying lots of stuff:)
