I made a quick stop at my J.Crew over the weekend. They did not have most of the new items I wanted to see yet. But I did get a chance to try on a couple of things…
Maisie ruffle blouse-This blouse is running true to size. It fit better in my usual size than the Victoria blouse did. I tried on the Maisie in Fresh Guava which is a sweet peach shade, lighter than it appears online. I liked the smaller ruffle collar but I couldn’t really figure out how it would look good unbuttoned. I think it would look best buttoned all the way up under a shift dress or cardigan.
Dream Valerie bow cardigan-This cardigan is running big imo. I tried on the XS and it was big all over. The neckline scoops pretty low, so it requires a low scooping top underneath. The bow was cute but a little over sized for my taste. Also the bow seemed placed awkwardly on me. It was partially on the shoulder and partially on the chest. Maybe if I could have tried a smaller size cardigan it would have sat better.
Tissue sequin-placket henley-The sequin tee is running big. I tried ont he XS and it was very baggy in the waist. The v-neck was very low. I was planning on ordering this in the bright poppy but it is so big I’ll have to pass it up completely.
Cashmere crewneck tee- I came home with a cashmere tee in dark poppy. This sweater fits true to size. On me the cashmere tee it is fitted in the chest, drapey but not baggy in the waist. The dark poppy color is a true red with an orange base. It doesn’t really give away that orange base except in low light. The cashmere on this one is quite soft although not as thick or fuzzy as my argyle v-neck. One thing I don’t like about the cashmere tees, is the rolled edges at the hem and cuffs. I suppose J.Crew feels it gives the sweater the casual tee feel but to me it just seems unfinished. The edges don’t bother me at the $99 special price but I don’t see myself paying $150 for this sweater unless they finish the hem.
Wool herringbone pencil skirt- I also brought home this skirt in black, on sale for just $50. The skirt fits true to size. It sits low on the waist and the hem hits at the perfect mid-knee length. If you are taller than 5’4″, you may find this skirt hits above the knee.

I agree with you about the cashmere tee, I love to get it on sale but not for fp.
Have you seen the new Ringspun Embellished Graphic Tees yet? I was wondering what the difference was between Ringspun and slub cotton tees? Is the Ringspun very picky and sheer? I don’t live by a store so any help would be appreciated.
I haven’t seen the brand new ringspun tees but I have a couple from earlier in the season. I have a champagne and a dark grey. Neither are sheer but the white ones I have seen look a little see through.
ITA about the sequin henley T ~I normally wear a small, but had to get the XS, and it is not fitted in the waist at all, but, I really liked it alot.
