I ordered the 3/4 sleeve stretch shirt in fresh mint this morning (only two left in my size). Other than that I’m waiting for the next roll out. I’m a coppery redhead with pale skin, and the washed out colors and pinks do nothing for me. Here’s hoping J.Crew has some nice blues and greens on the way.

Cute picks Shannon!
I was trying to avoid buying any J. Crew but I finally caved when I saw the Cate slingbacks on sale for $99.

This weekend I got the Prima Stretch Pinstripe Pants in Navy for $39.99 and the Slim Stretch Shirt in Light Pewter for $49.50. I couldn’t pass up the deal on the pants and I wanted to get a new shirt to wear with them, so my work wardrobe is happy that I have a new basic outfit for about $100.

Oooh, I like all of these sale items!
I ordered the Jackie cardigan, the Meringue-sleeve top, a pair of cords and a pair of chinos last week and just got them today — excitement!
I’m holding off on ordering for a while now, although your collage of current offerings is tempting!
Julia
I’m definitely getting the white atelier jacket! I’m so nervous that it will sell out immediately once there is an additional % off code. Tried it on (again…) in the store today and lusted over it. I hope all the other size 2 ladies out there hate it!
Spring Forward
I am also waiting for the atelier jacket! I have a feeling they will offer an additional % off code in the next week, so I am not buying anything yet. I checked inventory and they still have a lot left in all colors, but this post is really tempting me to buy now!
JKW
I’ve had my eye on the New Hudson shell fresco-print top. I adore prints that resemble mosaics or architectural features. I think this top would be a great layering piece. But…$59.00 is just too much for a silk tank, IMO. And, I’m on a 2-month shopping ban anyway (jewelry excluded, as you know, Shannon!). Perhaps if it goes to FS for $29.00 I’ll pick it up.

Any idea how the Aubrey fits?
I’m always a regular size 4 in JCrew dresses and tops but am considering a petite 6 to get a shorter length. Thanks! There’s not a whole lot of them so I’m going to pull the trigger and pray I can return one of them.
Shannon
I tried on the sz0 aubrey. It felt tts, smaller than the atelier. If I remember correctly, it hit right at the pant waistband

Oops, I was talking about the aubrey halter dress.
After hours of searching (ok, not really searching just for info about the dress) I found a warning from SoonToBePhD on JCA from January 30, 2009 5:43 PM:
“WARNING: embossed Aubrey halter dress has a side zipper that puckers at the waistline making it look like you have a growth on your hip. NOT cute. I was very bummed, this dress looked fantastic otherwise. Bummer. The SA said she wished they kept the zippers down the back on the dresses.” Link to JCA page
Thank the Lord for all these blogs with superuseful information. I’m still ordering it!!
If it puckers I’ll return it for defective workmanship. I hope it doesn’t pucker, really.

JKW, the Hudson fresco print is available in a mini-skirt at B&M for $29.99, and NOT final sale. So if you like the print, this may work. Skirt is quite short even for me though, and I'm 5'1"!
JKW
Hey, Francesca…thanks for the info about the mini-skirt. I do love that fresco print! Unfortunately, I don't live very close to a B&M, darn! I'm about 1 and 1/2 hours away from Chicago, however. I wish JC would make skirts in these cute prints that are knee-length. I'd buy all of them, lol!
Letitia
I bought item #2 (1st row, 2nd column) in navy and i love it. i’ve been thinking of buying the peep toes you have posted in this note…but haven’t seen them in person. have you? i think they are adorable…but is that the online adorable or in person adorable???? help
Jeff
I disagree with this list. I wouldn’t wear any of these.
Shannon
Jeff- are you kidding, those polka dot shorts were made for you lol.
Letitia- I haven’t seen them irl. I am holding out for the pink and grey. Hopefully go on sale too, eventually.
IRl-thanks for the info on the dress. I really have to wonder about JC’s design and construction team. Do they not have one single person who will stand up and point out obvious flaws?!
GingerSnap
I think your list is great. I have been looking at the sale section and there is not too much in it I would categorize has “have to have,” but I think you have highlighted the best of what’s on sale
IRL
I received my embossed dress yesterday. Ordered it in two sizes, 4 regular and 6 petite. Both are too big around my rib cage, and neither show a zipper bump.
I think they moved the zipper to the side because, if you need to spin the dress around to get to the zipper in the back, the rubber banding around the chest grabs at your skin and could make it difficult to move the dress around on your body. Make sense?
Cute dress. Too bad for me they’ve long since sold out of the next sizes down.
Shannon
IRL- Thanks for the update! I’m sorry it didn’t fit, so frustrating
