I hope you all has a wonderful Easter! How did you celebrate? What did you wear?
My ootd was pretty casual. I couldn’t get an irl pic but here it is via Polyvore. I used the navy Jackie in the collage but actually wore the black crystal button cardigan from last year. I wish they would remake these. I love the sparkly buttons.
Thanks for all your feedback in the Decisions post and for listening to me vent. My photo frustration is not sales based, it is just that the pics are not as professional as I would like and I have high quality expectations in everything I do. But a conclusion has been reached! Dh is an electrician and has promised me a handmade professional lightbox. No tissue paper and cardboard but instead 5-way dim-able lighting.
So with that out of the way, I was free to put my red card to use today. Yes, I went to JC on Easter lol. Dh had to go into work briefly, so me and dd tagged along and stopped to shop. I brought home the tea rose bouquet cardigan, the sanur dress, printed Kya cami, everyday chino, and a corsage tee.
I was actually disappointed in the corsage tees. The material is even thinner than I expected. The material is not the same as this years perfect fit scoop tee or henley. It is lighter like last years vnecks. I don’t know if this years vnecks are as thin. I had to take my usual size XS and not size up like I usually do in perfect fit. On my receipt the tee is listed as “baby rib corsage” not perfect fit…
Even though I was disappointed, I brought home the navy to see how it works for me.
It may be another quiet week here on the blog. I have a busy schedule finishing up a boutique order, bauble bracelets, a wedding order, and more. I’ll be ordering the venti Starbucks this week! I will try and get some reviews or ootd pics of new items but I can’t promise anything. I think most of the stuff I bought has already been covered by our other fab JC bloggers anyway. Let me know if you have questions about any fits though.
*Update- I forgot to mention, I tried on the $98 Vintage slim jeans in the Worn in wash. They run a size big in my opinion. They are larger than my vintage slims in worn indigo. I also tried the Medallion shorts. The are tts and more fitted than most shorts I’ve had. I didn’t get them because the length was too short for me and all that bright color against my pale legs was not cute. The print is gorgeous though with more pink than appears on the model pics.

Odd that you feel that way about the corsage tee – I sized up like I usually do with perfect fit t’s, and I found it to be the same material. But i am worried about how it will wash and wear with the delicate details!
How low is the scoop on the corsage? Is is lower than the perfect-fit scoop? The latter is about as low as I can go.
Anon-Maybe it is the same as the crew and vnecks? It just feels a little thinner and softer than my scoopneck tee. Maybe the cotton in the bright tulip is just a little thicker than other colors?
Hex-I’d say the scoop is the same depth on each but the corsage tee is wider, a more open U than the scoopneck tees.
Thanks for the info about the corsage tees. Hmm, not sure I’ll buy one now.
Why didn’t I buy that lovely ringspun rosette tee when I had the chance? Darn!!!!!!!!
Good luck with your jewelry orders. I’m glad to hear that your business is booming; not surprising at all!
Shannon-
So great to hear that you have a boutique order and wedding order. I knew your creations would sell well, they are lovely. Congrats!
If the wedding party sends along pics of them in the jewels, we’d love to see it.
Sarah-I would love to see that too! I’m not sure if she bought them to wear during the ceremony or as a gift afterward.
JKW- I wore the navy corsage today and it really is cute. The darker color is more forgiving than the mint I tried on in store.
Just wanted to comment–luveee your blog!
Adorable!
