Latest obsession: Tourmaline gems

I have been in love with multi-colored Tourmaline jewelry for quite awhile now. The gorgeous sparkling yellows, greens, and pinks in faceted tourmaline make me drool!

However, it is a very expensive gemstone. So, I haven’t got my hands on any…until now.

This weekend my mailbox with graced with these beautiful Tourmaline rondelles. I’ve wrapped them around handmade 14k gold filled hoops.

I’ve been wearing my gold Cleo chandelier earrings almost constantly but I think these babies are my new favorite.

Jewelry Sale and AB jewelry back in stock

Just wanted to post a quick note to let everyone know I am having a jewelry sale this week. I am offering 10% off everything in my shop.

I know some might say 10% is a bit puny but until I get my materials cost way down it is actually pretty great LOL!
To redeem the discount, just request a adjusted invoice during check out from my shop.
10% off ends Mon, May 25th, no extensions ;)

Also, I managed to snag just a couple more strands of that gorgeous Grade A Rainbow Fluorite. I have enough to make 3, maybe 4 pieces of the Reef cluster bracelet or Aurora Borealis necklace.

Here are a couple pics of the jewelry using the new beads :)

Sharing a couple more D90 pics of jewelry

Hi everyone, thanks for the congrats on the D90 post! I definitely have a lot to learn about this camera. Yesterday I took a lovely 13 sec movie….of the pavement. Oops lol.

I wanted to share a couple of pics I took tonight. This looks like sunny day photos but really it is inside with blinds closed at 7pm on a very dreary night! I should have used the tripod and the 14k looks a little oranger than it is irl but still pretty good results!

These are my new chandelier earrings btw :)

Shooting new Pearl cluster necklace. It pays to have two jewelry displays!

OMG I got a D90

Happy Mother’s Day everyone! I hope you had a wonderful day with your loved ones!
I was spoiled this year, dh got me a new camera. A Nikon D90, yay!

Here are a couple of pics that I took. I have no previous experience with SLR cameras. These are right out of the box. I used manual settings not auto, but I only did a tiny bit of adjusting. Since I don’t even know what all the buttons do yet lol.
I set the Aperture (to blur my tissue paper background) and the exposure (to let in more light). You will see in the last pic especially, I need practice with manual focus! These pics have almost no editing done. With my old camera I spent HOURS increasing the light, contrast, and adjusting colors.

Btw, the earrings are a set I made for mil for Mother’s Day.
