OMG I got a D90

Happy Mother’s Day everyone! I hope you had a wonderful day with your loved ones!
I was spoiled this year, dh got me a new camera. A Nikon D90, yay!

Here are a couple of pics that I took. I have no previous experience with SLR cameras. These are right out of the box. I used manual settings not auto, but I only did a tiny bit of adjusting. Since I don’t even know what all the buttons do yet lol.
I set the Aperture (to blur my tissue paper background) and the exposure (to let in more light). You will see in the last pic especially, I need practice with manual focus! These pics have almost no editing done. With my old camera I spent HOURS increasing the light, contrast, and adjusting colors.

Btw, the earrings are a set I made for mil for Mother’s Day.

I forgot to mention, I didn’t even use a tripod for these pics. Unheard of with the old camera!

I love my D70, but seeing the shots you grabbed with your D90 makes me want to get it RIGHT NOW!

Wow!! I have a D40 and love it and the D90 looks just amazing. Beautiful photos, and earrings! I have learned so much from the Pioneer Woman’s Photography page. It’s very clear and easy to understand, especially if you are just learning! Have fun!

So now that you have had the d90 for a while, you should do another post!! I’ve been toying around with getting one for a little while now, but know no one that has one, so I’m dying to hear more about it!
