I am so excited to share my weekend project with you guys! My Dressing Room Jewelry web address forwards to Etsy no more! I now have my own website
I will keep my Etsy shop open for awhile but I’ll be adding all new items to the website first and only to Etsy as time allows. It is going to be so fun being able to add as many jewelry pics as I like, easy to use coupon codes, just having every thing in my own hands is very exciting to me.
The site also has a gift registry. So you can make a wishlist and your hubby and friends can search for it by your name. How cool is that?
So, I am still working on adding items and tweaking the site. If you run into any problems with it, please let me know! I would love any feedback! I’m hoping it has a chic professional look, not crafty and homemade.
Fyi- If you have been wondering about what pieces look like on, I have a few modeled jewelry pics on the site. The tourmaline earrings, pearl cluster necklace, and a couple others have these new pics.
Click the pic to visit the site

Also FYI: I am working on adding some more affordable pieces to the website with the optional upgrade. Times are tough still and I want to be able to offer inexpensive pick me ups. Today I added a couple of charm necklaces. This Starfish necklace is my fav

Your new site looks beautiful and very professional!
Shannon, your site is very elegant! Looking forward to shopping
Have you thought about adding an "about us" type of page. I really like reading about the inspiration and how you put such quality materials in your work. Will you be adding trusted shopping features (secure website, etc.)?
Thank you Kathy!
Amethyst-I will be adding and About us page I just have to figure out what to say lol.
Right now all credit card info is processed by paypal's secure servers. Those details are not viewable or stored by me on my site.
I am looking into a SSL cert just to further secure customer addresses and email info
I took a quick look at your new site last night, and I think it's fantastic! It's professional and classy, and I think it represents the quality of your work and customer service very well. I'm glad you are posting more pics of the jewelry on you — it really helps to better understand the scale and how the pieces look with clothes. Great job!
Shannon, congratulations! I am always inspired by your creativity.
JKW & Hex- Thank you so much ladies. I have been down in the dumps a bit this week, pms I'm sure. So, I really appreciate your kind words
JKW- I know irl pics add so much! I tend to get lazy about taking them but I am going to really try and stay on top of them for the site.
Wow! I'm so impressed, the new site looks great! Congrats!
Congratulations on getting your site up & running. I wish you tons of success and happiness. Good luck!
Love your website! I love the black background. Having a small business/website of my own, I've learned a few things: you should have an "about me" page. People find it interesting and connect more with what they are buying when they know a little about who made it. So many people have told me it is important to them to see an address/name in the store, they feel it makes it a more legitimate business. You should also have a tag line for your shop….something catchy and classy, but not cheesy
I found that keeping my etsy store open as well as having my website (www.perfectlypreppy.com) helped to bring customers to my shop. People will buy something from my etsy store, then when I ship the item, I include a business card with my web address and they always go to check it out and perhaps make another purchase from my website. The nice thing about Etsy is they don't charge you just to have a store..only to list items, so you can just offer a few items in there to bring the traffic to your website! Best of luck with your endeavor!!
Thanks for the tips Kim! I definitely want to add an About me page. I just need to rack my brain about what to say about me lol
