After a disappointing trip to J.Crew Saturday we went back to the city Monday and hit Anthropologie. The sales racks were pretty well stuffed but as was the case at JC, almost everything left was size large.

They had quite a few of these blue Leifsdottir cardigans in various sizes. Even on sale it was more than I wanted to spend, so I didn’t try it on. If I remember correctly, it was marked down to around $120 – $140. It is a beautiful cardigan. The sweater was obviously made well with gorgeous faux pearl buttons and white seed beads sewn all over. It was fully lined and had some weight to it. Would be best suited for fall or chilly spring I think. You can see Goldenmeans review of this cardi HERE

Here is what I did take to the dressing room..
Pink Leifsdottir blouse- This was much prettier in person, on sale for $90 I believe. It fit true to size but I don’t think the short length was flattering on me. It reminded me of something that would look fabulous on Chloe

Grand Gazania dress- Dh picked this one out for me. The smallest they had was a size 2 which was too big in the chest for me. A very pretty, easy summer dress

Walk a Ways dress- Next I tried on the famous Walk a ways dress. I was happy to see that the tank top was a decent weight and not see through. It looks adorable from the side. Notice they shot the model from the side as well..

And now from the front….

*Screams*
Too much gathered fabric, too high on the waist!

Pastel prism blouse- I didn’t even notice this top while browsing online but it is very pretty in real life. Lots of ruffles but it is cut in at the waist so you don’t get buried. It has an exposed zipper up the back. On sale for $50.

Wearing this top today with a merino cardi

Joe’s rolled ankle Chelsea jeans- I didn’t get a pic of these but I loved them. These jeans are what the JC matchsticks are not. The denim is great and the fit is pretty true to size. I tried on my usual Joe’s size 26 and they were perfect everywhere except I had a little bit of a gap in the waist. The rise was a little shorter in the back than I would have liked too. The leg fit was snug but not sausage snug lol. I would have bought them full price if either the waist was tighter or the rise higher. I’m going to keep an eye on these and hope for a sale.

Paige Premium Hidden hills- I’m glad I held off on the Joe’s because I found these fabulous jeans at Nordies. All the Paiges I have tried on in the past have been very small in the butt and slim in the hip. The fit on the Hidden hills though was much better suited to my curvy figure. I took my usual 26. I do have a little room in the waist but the rise is high enough that I’m not going to flash anyone if I lean over lol. I’ll have the waist taken in a bit when I get them hemmed. I don’t normally go for two buttons on jeans but since I rarely wear a tucked in shirt, I don’t mind it on these.

My last buy this week is the Take the Plunge surplus. I ordered this online after I returned home unfulfilled Saturday. I am planning on wearing it with straight leg jeans and sandals. I’ll post pics once it arrives

Here is my shopping ootd. This is after we got home and I immediately took off my Delman flats which were trying to tear a hole in my heel. I’ve had those shoes a year now and they still hate me.
