I have been completely over looking the Boyfriend blazer trend. I really did not think it was a look that would be flattering on me. However, they are everywhere and with so many available, I am pretty sure I could find one that works for me.
When shopping online for boyfriend blazers you will see almost every retailer styling them with jeans. However, my favorite looks are those pairing the blazer with a skirt or dress with a little volume. I don’t like the skirt in this pic at all, but it illustrates the silhouette which is fitted, higher on the waist with a full hem that hits just a few inches below the jacket. Take a look an Lookbook.nu or chictopia and you will see lots of examples of what I mean. I didn’t want to snag anyone’s pics, so I just went with this one which is some what close. Also pairing a short skirt with tights and boots is more my style as this is too much leg for me.

Here are a few Boyfriend blazers that caught my eye. I ADORE the Apc look. Maybe this Spring I will be brave enough to try the jacket and shorts look.

If you have a Polyvore set or outfit of the day with a Boyfriend blazer, email it to me and I will post it in the thread.

I have been eyeing bf blazers but have not yet bit the bullet. You are right in that the natural instinct is to pair with jeans. I *love* all the ideas you have here. Hope to see some fab Polyvores posted, too!
I like to wear mine with a mini, pencil skirt, or shorts… although, that's not different from how I style my other (more fitted) blazers.
I do think a blazer with jeans is classic, and is perfection when both have the right fit and proportion.
I like the APC look best out of those images.
I loveloveLOVE it! My mom turned me onto these when I was a kid. I have 3: one in a copper-y velvet, another in a rich olive tweedlike material, and the other is navy corduroy. I enjoy wearing mine with skirts, but nothing beats a blazer with jeans.
I just can't get into them. I've tried a few on but just don't like the long blazer look on me. I do think it looks cute with the skirt and/or skinnies.
I want to love them, but I just cannot find one that fits me right. I think that that type of blazer would be super cute with the toothpick jeans from JCrew that I love so much.
i definitely prefer them with skirts & dresses & other feminine touches. with pants and other man-friendly shapes, it starts to look too much like something your boyfriend would actually wear.
I love fitted blazers, but I am only 5'4" so boyfriend blazers are a little extreme for my small figure- I literally look like I am wearing someone else's blazer.
