Anthropologie review time!
Ad Infinitum Blouse
I’m always on the look out for a great button up shirt. I’ve bought several over the years but I never wear them because they are normally uncomfortably stiff and have major button gape at the chest. The Ad Infinitum blouse is another story. The fabric is not crisp. It moves with you even around the shoulders and it has been seamed and darted specifically for those of us with a curvy figure. At first I thought $68 was too much for just a standard shirt. But when I was done in the dressing room, I was really ticked off that I had to take off this awesome shirt and put on my crappy JC tee. So I bought it. Now I want the red as well. This is the size 0.

All Seasons Shirtdress
I was really looking forward to trying on this dress. I took a size 0 and unfortunately it was not even close to fitting. It was big and unflattering. Plus the arm holes where definitely too low. The material of the dress is soft. It has a flouncy lined skirt. It reminded me very much of the Reed shirtdress, except for the fit.

Milady Skirt
Anthro has some great pencils skirts right now. I can pretty much always count on them to fit in a flattering way. This is the size 0 which was mostly form fitting. It had a little bit of room behind my waist, only noticeable because I had the shirt tucked it. I like the front design of the skirt with the hook detail but I’m not crazy about the fabric. It’s not exactly corduroy but it has a fine rib. Also, I really wasn’t sure what to do with the corset back. Even after tying it up, it felt strange having laces hanging off my bottom.

Pike Place Dress
I’m not exactly sure why I grabbed this dress. I guess I have a soft spot for plaid. This is the size 0 and the fit was not very good. It was tight enough around the ribcage but big and stretchy in the waist. Plus it didn’t feel secure around the chest. Maybe I could have got a better fit by adjusting the lace up back but I don’t have a team of maids to get me dressed in the morning, so pass. The dress zips up but has hooks all the way up the front. To me, this is just a recipe for pale belly flashing disaster.

Solar Star Blouse
I was excited when the Solar star blouse was released because I never did buy the Cinched medallions blouse that it looks very much like. Unfortunately, I didn’t love this blouse nearly as much. I tried the size 2 and just like the Cinched medallions in was a little big. The neckline on the Solar star is trickier though. It cuts back at the shoulder and being slightly too big had the habit of showing bra strap. The waist is quite sheer but I couldn’t see through it at the chest. A pretty blouse but it just didn’t win me over.

Zigzags & Zinnias Tee
This tee surprised me when I saw it in real life. I wasn’t expecting it to be so casual. For some reason I thought the fabric would have more structure and crispness but it is a soft knit tee. This is the XS which fit very well. I wasn’t in love with the top though. The flowers with the extra folded up fabric underneath them, seemed a bit much. Maybe I would have liked it better if the flowers were smaller or if there was just one of them. Can’t say much about this tee really, except maybe on sale. $68 seems excessive.
I also tried on the Boundless blazer again. This time I tried on the size 2 and it was total fail! The fabric was wrinkling all over the place. It really needs a snug fit to pull the creases out. The puff shoulders in the larger size were positively laughable. Seriously, gi-freaking-normous lol.
What do you think of these Anthro pieces? Have you tried any of them yourself?

I’ve heard nothing but good things about the ad infinitum blouse… I want to try it
lovely reviews
I thought all the rest were passes too.
LOVE the blouse. What a great fit, very pretty on you. Definitely the best of the bunch! So it comes in red, did you see it? I would be curious if it was a true red or more coral.
Thanks for the reviews! Very helpful! I think the yellow dress would look so cute on you- but you are right it looks too big.
That white top looks A-MAZING on you. I wish I had that itty-bitty waist!
You look so awesome in the white blouse!
Cindy
So I today I too tried on the all seasons shirtdress in the ivory color. Also took size 0 and wasn’t very impressed. It was cute, but not full price cute. Tried on the Reed Shirtdress and fell hard!! So much better.
Pike Place Dress looks cute but too bad on how the fit went. I’ll have to try it on.
DaniBP-It is a thin red stripe just like the grey here. I don’t remember it being coral but I think it was a more faded red.
Thanks for reading ladies! I’m so glad you like the blouse! I felt a bit bad breaking my no buy for it (I was in the middle of saving for shoes) but it goes along with my new shopping strategy, buy the perfectly fitting basics
Dea-Thanks for your thoughts on the dresses! Did you get the Reed? What color?? It is such an awesome dress, especially if you have a high small waist
I have to say that even though you weren’t a fan of the zigzag shirt, I really like how it looks on you! The way it hands looks so lovely, and the little fabric flowers are adorable. I agree that it is a really casual shirt, though.
I’m so glad you tried the yellow shirtdress because I’ve been dying over it all week… I may have to rethink that purchase!
While the fit of the All Seasons Shirtdress isn’t that great, I do think the color is beautiful on you. It’s a nice contrast with your dark hair. The Milady Skirt fits you very well, but I agree that the corset-style back is probably a bit weird. Too bad they killed it with that feature! Thanks for reviewing the lovely Solar Star Blouse — I might give that one a try. I love the gold color and the embellishments on the sides. You look perfect in the Ad Infinitum Blouse — isn’t it awesome when you find a shirt that fits so well? I struggle with button-down shirts, too.
