If you asked me last week what I thought about clogs I would have said, I hate them. Hate them with the passion of a 1000 suns. But today I picked up the latest issue of British Vogue….

And I hate to admit… *clenches teeth* but I kind of love those clogs
Now there is no way in hell I am springing for the Chanel’s but I did come across these by Jeffrey Campbell.

What do you think? Completely awesome or just plain hideous?

I’m not ready to hop aboard the clog train. Alexa can sure rock them though.
I think they’re awesome!
I have them (in beige) so I’m gonna say awesome
Celine- How do they feel?? Are they comfortable, easy or hard to walk in?
I am determined to stay away from this trend this season, BUT, I have to say, if I HAD to get one pair, it would definitely be the Chanels/the JC Charli knockoffs, because they are kind of cute
I have a pair of Michael Kors clogs that I love, but they are hard to walk in, my ankles turn in them. Also, I would personally HATE a clunky ole clog for Spring. No way do I want a heavy closed toe shoe with my capris. I would splurge on the nude sandals you posted yesterday and skip these
Awesome! If worn with bo-ho clothing & obligatory unshaven pits – well then you got that look. If worn with hip fashionable clothes – you got that look! They can be a booger to walk in though – you have to be aware of every step you take I’ve found – way way way more than with regular heels. Some girls end up looking like they are walking with cinder blocks attached to their feet because clogs can be a bit heavy/clunky.
I have to side with Jen & Jane on this one, clogs are pretty hard to walk in, especially compared to platforms and spring sandals. Also probably just me, but I think of clogs as a fall/boho/back-to-school look, not spring/ summer. And I think they belong in black or dark brown, some of the lighter/ brighter hues I have seen in stores this month just seem wrong. Ta for posting the Brit Vogue cover tho, reminded me to pick up a copy (their digest size a plus for popping in bag.)
I felt the same way you did, til I saw those Clogs, ordered the Campbell ones in beige and black, love, love, love them. They are super high and comfortable and go with everything.
I adore clogs, but high heeled clogs? Not so much.
Isn’t it terrifying? I remember the clogs I wore when I was 12…. oh my goodness. I like a lot of these heeled beauties, but I foresee this following the way of ugg boots and crocs. I like, but not enough to buy!
I know you ladies are right. I should focus on the sandals instead! I still want those clog though, ahhh
