Ann Taylor back! Back to creating the sort of clothes I liked when I was starting out as a working girl.
They came through for me this spring when J. Crew failed to supply some good work outfits in colors other than pales and nudes. The AT pants fit seems to have been reworked since last fall, at least that’s what the SA told me, and they’re very flattering now.

I really love that wide-lapel coat in the sandalwood color, with the scarf and the pink cardi underneath! I would buy that whole thing. The scarf is very similar to a JC wool wrap in polka-dot dusty blossom from Hol ’09. I like the healthy models with their glowing skin!
SEmom
I will second Mary G’s comment about the fit of AT pants. I think AT really did listen to customer feedbback after they changed pant fits in the fall – AT petite size pants were always my favorite and then this fall none of them fit – I recently tried on AT pants again and they fit great, purchased a new pair for Spring.

Mary G & SEmom- Really! I’ll have to check out AT’s pants. I can never find a good fit in a non-denim pant.
DaniBp- I knoooow. I WANT that coat and scarf. Love the pink cardi too but it looks a bit boxy and mumsy on her doesn’t it lol

Uh, I am drooling, too. I love all of these outfits! This is the Ann Taylor I like — sharp tailoring, fine materials, clean lines. I can echo DaniBP on the polka dot scarf outfit — love the entire ensemble! And, the models do look healthy and rosy-cheeked, for a change. This is a breath of fresh air.

That BAG! Its perfect, though it looks ginormous. I need a huge bag for my life though, lol. I wonder what other colors it will come in. . .

Thanks, Mary G, I’ll have to give the pants another try.
