My Sunday is all about jewelry again. Well jewelry and 3 cheese lasagna, yum. I finished up my Melon multi layer chain necklace and just love how it turned out because it really shows my love of vintage costume jewelry! It all started with some vintage lucite cabs I found deep in the internet. I was worried the lucite would look plastic-y but they don’t and I adore the melon color. I added a couple of the vintage faceted glass cabs I had shipped form Paris not long ago and then started piling on the chain and pearls. I tied it up with black soft spun grosgrain ribbon which adds some drama. I left the ribbons unstitched though, so I can change it out for ivory or maybe peach. As always, I wanted a piece that made a statement but wasn’t over whelming. Also, I wanted a bit of tangle but not so much that it looked like a hot mess that fell out of the bottom of your jewelry box. I think it came together nicely. Unfortunately I only have a few of these cabs so this piece is limited edition. The melon necklace is in my Etsy shop, if you care to take a peek
Speaking of jewelry… I decided it would be fun to do a DRJ Bubble necklace give away. So, stay tune for that later this week!
